Holiday Card Update

Sasha Boak-Kelly just informed me that the final Bard Holiday Card from 2012 won a Bronze award from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education District 2 Accolades Award Committee. I posted about the Bard Holiday Card last year. The video features The Sparrows’s song, “Brave.”

The highlights of the judge’s comments included “Nice use of music, poetry, and text within the video medium.”

How exciting!

New Album Release Show

I told ya, I told ya! Gangstagrass is kicking this year off right with a brand new album release right smack in the middle of January. But the only way to get it is to come to the show! Otherwise you gotta wait like everyone else.

And if you’re booking transport anyway, there’s a reason we’re linking fans to Fantrotter – it’s because if you buy your ticket or make your travel arrangements through this site, part of the profits head straight back to your favorite band. As long as that band is us.

See you in January!

Fail Many, Many Times

“The master has failed more times than the beginner has even tried.”
This is an important message for all students. If you don’t fail many, many times, you won’t achieve the mastery that comes with an intimate knowledge of failure.
So keep trying, don’t give up, and learn from the mistakes!

Book of Psalms with the Selah Singers

NYC friends and lovers of choral music! Tomorrow night, I’ll be singing some new works by Jon Pohlmann.
Following the success of the Kickstarter campaign, we recorded these pieces and printed up an album, Book of Psalms with the Selah Singers.
The show will start at 7:30 at the Church of St. Paul and St. Andrew, 263 West 86th Street, Manhattan, a block from the 86th St. stop on the 1 train. We’ll be singing these and a few other pieces.
