I’ve heard my share of banjo jokes before, but never have I been reduced to an actual cartoon! It’s an outrage and an honor.

The Best of Bluegrass
I draw your attention to 2:32 wherein after announcing the award winners of the year, he sayeth:
“My name is John Hartford, I didn’t win a durn thing, but I’m gonna have a ball tonight, and I’m in fast company.”
I have a lot of respect for this guy. He did what he wanted, he put on a fun show, and he had a banjo with a wooden tone ring that he tuned way low.

Mexicali
Fun show last night at Mexicali Live! Always a blast to play with Blue Plate Special, but there was something particularly special about this one. You can’t tell from the picture but we are all very happy.
Two Shows
